Getting out of jail

Last weekend we took a break 'down south'. We stayed in Edinburgh where we saw Nick Lowe and Ry Cooder at the Festival Theatre, then on to Paisley via Glasgow where we stayed for three nights in their wonderful house with our friends, Sandy and Meron. Great craic, top food and drink, memorable trips to visit lots of places including especially Rabbie Burns' cottage and Inverary Jail. The photo demonstrates our relief (a) to be let out of that 17th century prison and (b) to be rather pleased we are not living in an age of such inhuman man to man (and woman) brutality.

No prizes for guessing what is being whispered in my ear!

Happy times. Thanks, M&S.

Happy times indeed. We had a wonderful time with you two when you visited us in Paisley - it was just too short. We hope you will stay with us longer next time, as we have lots more places to explore and we haven't yet completely sorted out the world with our 'craic'
