An Arty Evening

All this excitement! We followed up on our Burns Club evening with the Preview for our 6-artist 'On The Edge' Exhibition at Poolewe Village Hall. More than a hundred invited 'locals'turned up, most of them dressed for the occasion after our hottest day in years - and thirsty enough to prove it. A great time was had by all.

I have to say that Jane Strugnell has done an excellent job in heading up the organising of the thing. Full marks. The show looks great. Certainly I've never seen my own pictures in a better setting. True, I didn't sell any more than my two 'pre-sales' but a lot of our cards, calendars etc went out the door with the departing multitude.

Dee prepared huge numbers of mini sausage rolls and sausages on sticks (she'll be known henceforth as the sausage queen) and the other artists or their partners contributed much good finger-food also.

So now we have a four day show open to the general public. As there are many people from home and abroad up here on holiday at the moment we all have high hopes. At the very least we will have enjoyed ourselves and cemented our places solidly within the history of ART.

I'm off now to do some more meeting and greeting.
